Pfizer has been accused of a massive scheme to sell counterfeit versions of Viagra, which they say are fake and of little value.
The company was accused of supplying fake Viagra to men with erectile dysfunction, and selling it to the public in a series of raids across Europe in 2013. The drug is often sold as a pill.
The drugs are sold on the internet and on the black market, and the product is often sold on sale in the streets, where men buy it online.
Pfizer is the largest supplier of Viagra on the black market, but it sells fake versions in Britain, the United States, and elsewhere, according to figures compiled by the British Pharmaceutical Society.
In February, Pfizer was accused of supplying Viagra for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men.
It said it had seized about 4,000 Viagra tablets in Britain in 2012, and said the fake version would have been “very unlikely” to cause serious damage. It said the drug had been sold in Britain without any warning to its consumer.
The fake version of Viagra has been shown to contain a “black box” warning on the packaging.
It said the “black box” warning stated: “You should not use Viagra if you are taking nitrate-based medications or guanylate cyclase stimulators, or any of the other ingredients in Viagra tablets, or any other medications, including prescription medicines.”
Pfizer said it was “alarmed at the reports” of the drugs on its website. It said the site had “no association with any pharmaceutical company, nor was it associated with any organisations, businesses or groups”.
Pfizer said it was in breach of its agreement with the United Kingdom’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which is required to report suspected counterfeit products to the MHRA.
The MHRA has also asked Pfizer to stop selling the drug through its website, where it says its products are sold in “adverse-effect” form and “harm to public health”.
Pfizer’s stock has been valued at £1.8bn at the time of writing, and is trading at around 12.25 per cent at £5.50. Its stock has also been trading at $1.07n.
The drug has been nicknamed “Viagra’s new miracle” by its creator, Bob Dole, and is also popular for treating high blood pressure.

In March, the MHRA ordered an investigation into the issue.
The MHRA said it had found that some men in the UK were using the drug, but the agency did not take action.

Pfizer said it was in breach of its agreement with the MHRA, which is required to conduct a thorough investigation.
The MHRA, which monitors the internet sales of medicines, said: “We have not taken action on the internet sale of counterfeit drugs.”
